Hunstanton, or 'Sunny Hunny' as it's known, is a popular seaside resort with sandy beaches, beautiful
sunsets and lots to do for everyone.
It is the only east coast resort that faces west so some of the
best sunsets can be seen as you look out over the wash towards Skegness. On the South Promenade you can find
amusements, a funfair and indoor swimming pool and sports centre. The Sea Life Centre can be found here too and is definitely
worth a visit. There are daily pony rides along the sandy beach, water skiing, jetskis and kite-surfing. During
the summer months, powerboat racing can often be seen.
Regular boat trips also leave from the South Promenade to
Seal Island on Willy the Wash Monster and is alway a trip worth taking On the North Promenade you will
find the quiet and pretty Esplanade gardens leading off to the coastal walking paths that take you along the top of the
old Hunstanton cliffs. There is also an 18 hole miniture putting green, krazy golf and bowling green.
Hunstanton is ideally located for bird watching being not far from Snettisham and Titchwell Marsh Nature
Reserves. It is also only a short journey away from such places as Sandringham House, Norfolk Lavender and
Langham Glass.
